Happy 17th Birthday Hannah

My little sister Hannah is planning on going to cosmetology school.  For her 17th birthday, I thought that I would incorporate her love of cosmetology into a cake. 

Mother's Day Cake

This is my mom's favorite cake to eat that I have made.  My cousin stumbled across this recipe around Easter.  When my mom loved it after she had it the first time, she asked for this for a Mother's Day cake.  My mother usually does not ask for much, therefore making her this cake for Mother's Day was not a difficult decision to make.

60th Birthday Cookies

When preparing for my Praxis Test, a friend from our couple Bible study agreed to help me study and prepare.  She was so helpful in my preparation for the test and willingly took time to study with me.  Recently Leea's mother in law celebrated her 60th birthday and Leea asked if I would make some cookies to celebrate. 

Happy 13th Birthday Justin

Justin is a junior high student that spends time at the block with Eric and I on Sunday mornings.  I was able to have the privilege to get to know Justin's mom at junior high camp last year.  This is a wonderful family who has devoted their life to Christ and serving him daily.  They continually trust and are faithful that God will always deliver them.  It was an honor to make a cake for Justin!  Happy Birthday Buddy!

Birthday Fireworks!

My dad has always enjoyed being a fan of the Cincinnati Reds.  One aspect of the Reds games that my parents have always enjoyed are the Friday night fireworks.  They love to go on Friday nights to watch the firework show after the game.  When making a birthday cake for my dad, I thought a Reds cake with fireworks would be most appropriate.

Sundae Morning Cupcakes

Soon enough I will have to wrap up my time with my seventh grade girls that I have spent this past year with.  They have been a blessing in my life and I have enjoyed spending so much time with them.  As our time together comes to an end, I thought the ladies would enjoy a special treat.  They were a hit!

Pineapple Upside Down

A pineapple upside down cake was requested for a brunch that was happening at school last week.  I don't have much experience with making a pineapple upside down cake but it is my mom's favorite so I thought it would not hurt to get some practice making it.  I was unable to grab a bite but I was pleased with how it turned out!
