Ethan's Birthday Party

Ethan's Birthday Party required another cars cake for his celebration! For this party I thought that a cake such as this one would be appropriate.  This was also my first tiered cake that I made which was good practice for more cakes to make in the future. 

Lift Connect

Lift is the junior high program at church that Eric works with.  Once a month the leaders get together and have a night of fun!  This week was the Bingo and Burrito night with cupcakes for dessert.  I think everyone enjoyed them, I didn't have to take any home!

Alyssa and Derrick's Reveal the baby cake!!!!

Alyssa and Derrick are friends of ours from college. They are expecting their first baby this coming May and asked about doing a reveal cake. This is something that I had never done befo but sounded really exciting! For those of you who don't know how a reveal cake works, the couple goes to the doctor to find out the sex of the baby and has the doctor seal the sex in an envelope so that the couple does not know. The envelope is then brought to the cake decorator. When decorating the cake the sex is revealed from the inside. If the inside of the cake is blue, it's a boy, if the inside is pink, it's a girl. Derrick and Alyssa brought the envelope over to me and I was thrilled to make this cake for them! It was a wonderful celebration party and the Winkler's were so excited to find out that IT'S A GIRL!
